The Challenge
The client wanted an online store for digital products with a strict brief: no page builders and no plugins at all. Every module — the catalogue, the category browsing, the live product status area, the customer feedback section and the support flow — had to live inside a custom theme so the site stayed lightweight, fully under their control and free of third-party dependencies that could break on update.
The design also set the bar high: a dark interface with layered gradients, glass-style cards, tabbed panels and interactive UI previews. That kind of layout is easy to fake with a builder and hard to build properly — semantic markup, keyboard-friendly components, real responsive behaviour and fast paint times all had to hold up. On top of that, a non-technical team needed to manage products, statuses and content daily from a WordPress admin that felt purpose-built rather than generic.
